How to Set Up No Spend Days

The Spend-Free Days Calendar helps you track no-spend days by turning the date green for successful days and red for days when you spent from an envelope you set as off-limits. To make this work, you need to configure which envelopes count as “spending.”

Setting Up Spending Envelopes for the First Time

When you first open the Spend-Free Days Calendar, you’ll see a prompt asking you to set up your spending envelopes. If you skipped this step or want to adjust your settings later, follow the steps below.

How to Configure Spending Envelopes Later

  1. go to the overview tab
  2. tap days spend-free in the top left corner
  3. below the no-spend days calendar, tap the button with the info (i) icon “only transactions from certain envelopes count tap to configure spending envelopes
  4. a list of all your envelopes will appear
  5. by default, fixed expense envelopes (like rent or bills) are assumed to be okay to spend from
  6. review your other envelopes and decide which ones you don’t want to spend from
  7. toggle an envelope ON (green) if you want it to count as off-limits—meaning spending from it will turn your no-spend day red

How It Works

  • on no-spend days, the calendar will show green if you didn’t spend from any off-limits envelopes
  • if you spend from an envelope you marked as off-limits, the calendar will show red for that day

This feature helps you build mindful spending habits by tracking when you successfully avoid unnecessary spending. You can update your envelope settings anytime if your spending goals change!
