How to Manage Couples Budgeting

while we don’t currently have an official couples budgeting feature, we’re working on it and hope to release it in the future. In the meantime, we have a workaround to help you and your partner (or anyone you share a budget with) manage your budget from multiple devices using the same account.

What you’ll need:

- the latest version of budget bestie

- both you and your partner using iOS 18 or later

- Apple’s new Password Manager app, Passwords

Instructions:

  1. create a passwords sharing group

open the Passwords app on your iPhone and create a new password sharing group with your partner. This will allow you to share login credentials securely.

  1. add budget bestie to the password sharing group

once the password sharing group is set up, add your budget bestie login credentials to this group. This way, when your partner logs into the app on their device, they will use your credentials and be logged into the same account.

3. log in on multiple devices

after adding budget bestie to the password sharing group, your partner can log into the app on their own device using the shared credentials. This allows both of you to view and manage your budget from different devices, staying in sync with your financial goals.

We’re actively working on adding better support for couples budgeting within budget bestie, so you can easily share budgets, track expenses together, and reach your goals as a team. In the meantime, this workaround can help you and your partner manage your finances together.
